60+ Wellness Series
This 60+ Wellness Series will cover a different topic each session to help identify resources and supports available in the community and region to anyone 60+, provide valuable information and encourage social connections. Some topic examples include Importance of Stretching, Falls Prevention, Estate Planning, Grief and Loss and Heart Health. Ageless & Unstoppable
This program includes functional fitness, yoga and art. Functional fitness focuses on developing and using the muscles that you require and use daily. It will include low impact fitness classes designed to increase cardiovascular health, build strength and balance. Yoga will include the option of using a chair and/or using a mat. It will include gentle flow yoga that focuses on stretching and breathing. Art is held in the art studio and focuses on exploring art and colors. All sessions are open to anyone 60+, from beginner to advanced. Classes and options will be altered as needed. This program is offered in partnership with MacDonald Island Park.
