Jay came to Fort McMurray from Edmonton in 2005. Before moving he studied psychology and philosophy at King’s University and, upon graduating, was recruited to work for CLAC as a Representative. He quickly realized his love of serving others through conflict mediation in a unionized setting. His psychology degree made him a natural fit for dealing with the human side of labour relations. He is now a Regional Director and enjoys working with his team in Fort McMurray. In 2007 Jay joined the Board of St. Aidan’s and in 2015 he accepted the role of Board Chair. In his free time, Jay loves to be outdoors with his wife and three sons, exploring nature. His dedication to family and community are evident in the way he takes the time to connect at home and in the wider community.
