Our partners
We believe that strong partnerships build stronger communities. At St. Aidan’s Society, collaboration is at the heart of everything we do. Our partners help us reach more seniors, deliver better services, and create meaningful, lasting impact. From local agencies and nonprofits to business, industry, and allied-system partners, each collaboration brings unique strengths and a shared commitment to supporting older adults.
Here are just a few of the incredible organizations we work with.
We are deeply grateful for our ongoing partnership with Re/Max Connect, whose support is vital to meeting the foodsecurity needs of seniors. Their generous contributions—and access to the Wood Buffalo Food Bank kitchen—allow us to prepare and deliver healthy, balanced meals to older adults in our community. This partnership exemplifies the power of working together to enhance seniors’ wellbeing and independence.
We sincerely appreciate our partnership with SunCares, whose continued support makes a tangible difference in the lives of local seniors. From lawncare help to Christmas Support Package deliveries, their volunteers provide practical services that help older adults remain independent at home. Tasks like yard maintenance, though seemingly small, have a big impact on seniors’ sense of safety and dignity. During the holidays, SunCares also helps deliver festive care packages—bringing comfort, joy, and connection to our community’s seniors.
We are incredibly grateful for our ongoing partnership with Regional Emergency Services, whose team helps us celebrate and uplift seniors in meaningful ways. Their involvement in our annual Christmas Support Package deliveries ensures that seniors feel remembered during a season that can be isolating. Since 2016, their presence at our VIP Movie Event—escorting seniors to their seats and creating a special experience complete with treats and a free film—has made the day truly memorable. Through this partnership, we honour seniors and remind them how valued they are.
Since 2020, St. Aidan’s Society has partnered with Arts Council Wood Buffalo to offer arts based programming to seniors and Elders across the region. Developed with seniors, these initiatives let participants explore diverse art forms, express themselves creatively, and connect with others. Many have reported increased confidence, self esteem, and social engagement—highlighting the arts’ powerful role in enhancing quality of life.
Our partnership with Drive Happiness is essential to the Seniors Assisted Transportation Program, which connects eligible older adults to affordable, reliable rides from screened volunteer drivers. By helping seniors access appointments, resources, and social events, this program supports mobility and aging well in the community.

Together, we:
Expand access to essential services
Reach underserved rural and Indigenous commnities
Share knowledge and best practices
Advocate for seniors' rights and needs
Respond quickly in times of crisis or change
Partnerships matter because they allow us to do more, reach further, and create a greater impact than we ever could alone. Through collaboration, we expand access to essential services and support for seniors. By sharing knowledge, experience, and best practices, we strengthen our collective ability to respond to the evolving needs of older adults. Partnerships also empower us to advocate more effectively for seniors' rights and well-being, and to be responsive during times of change or crisis.
As Helen Keller said, “Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.”
