Drive Happiness Volunteer Senior Assisted Transportation Program

happiness

Mobility is about more than getting from Point A to Point B. It is about dignity, freedom, and being in control of your lifestyle. With Drive Happiness, seniors are able to keep their independence and remain active and engaged in their community. St. Aidan’s Society has partnered with Drive Happiness and WB Volunteers to provide a low-cost, accessible volunteer driver service for older adults in the Fort McMurray area.

St. Aidan’s Society respectfully acknowledges that we reside and serve from Treaty 8 land—the traditional and ancestral territory of the Cree and Dene. We acknowledge that this territory is home to the Métis Settlements and the Métis Nation of Alberta, Regions 1, 4, 5 and 6 within the historical Northwest Métis Homeland. We acknowledge the many First Nations, Métis and Inuit who have lived in and cared for these lands for generations. We are grateful for the traditional Knowledge Keepers and Elders who are still with us today and those who have gone before us. We make this acknowledgement as an act of reconciliation and gratitude to those whose territory we reside on.
