The Wood Buffalo Food Bank provides programs and services that provide the resources and education necessary to ensure food security for all citizens in the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo.

Distribution of food hampers to low income seniors.

Call Dan or Colin for eligibility and to set up an appointment.

Volunteer opportunities are also always available. You can volunteer any time during hours of operation, or the Food Bank is open for volunteers on the second Saturday every month 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Contact Dan or Colin for more information.

Basic Shelf Program: Six week cooking class for all those who are wanting to learn how to cook on a budget. Contact Yvonne Ormson to sign up Extension 227

Slow Cooker Program: A free 6 week cooking program; participants share a slow-cooker meal, discuss a health and nutrition topic, and assemble the ingredients for a recipe to take home and prepare. All participants receive a free Slow Cooker. Contact Yvonne to sign up Extension 227.

MOBILE PANTRY PROGRAM

The Mobile Pantry Program is an outreach program available to Anzac, Conklin, Janvier, and Fort McKay.

Saturday, Sunday, and Statutory Holidays:  Closed

Open for volunteers the 2nd Saturday of every month.
